I feel like if I see it, I'm going to think of my youth spent listening to hiphop and feel nostalgic. There's nothing wrong with that, I guess, but I'm worried that the movie will somehow change my memories of that era. When Biggie died, the world lost a great hiphop talent. | | Sean Combs sued for assault by partygoer | | LOS ANGELES - A lawsuit has been filed against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging the music mogul punched and pushed a man and his girlfriend at a Hollywood nightclub.Gerard Rechnitzer is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages in the suit, which was filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court.An attorney for Combs called the suit "completely baseless." Police are investigating the alleged incident.Rechnitzer, 27, claims he and his girlfriend ran into Combs at the club, Teddy's, inside the Roosevelt Hotel in the early morning hours of Feb. 25. According to the lawsuit, Combs was talking to Rechnitzer's girlfriend when Rechnitzer approached. Combs, 37, then yelled at Rechnitzer "in a threatening and ominous matter," the suit claims.The rap star and clothing designer then "intentionally, willfully, knowingly and unlawfully attacked, assaulted and battered" Rechnitzer, according to court documents, causing him to "fly backward several feet" and hit a parked car. | | Stamos joins cast for ABC Raisin pic | | John Stamos John Stamos has joined the cast of ABC's A Raisin in the Sun, the TV movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's play.
In Raisin, which tells the story of a family living and struggling on Chicago's South Side in the 1950s, Stamos has been cast in the role of Carl Lindner, who represents the all-white community of Claybourne Park in its efforts to buy out the black Younger family from moving in.
The three-hour movie also stars Sean Combs, Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, and Sanaa Lathan, who are reprising their roles from the 2004 Broadway revival. The movie starts shooting soon in Toronto.
Stamos joined ER as a regular this fall following a successful guest stint last season. He also is one of the stars of A&E Network's upcoming movie Wedding Wars, which airs December 11. | |
