| | roy orbison | | Roy Orbison was truely a wonderful singer This amazingly talented singer handled each song that he sang
with the greatest of ease.Who could forget "Lana" which he wrote and sang for his wife."Pretty Woman was
another, later used as the title song for the movie
"Pretty Woman" starring Julia Roberts. My all time favorite Roy Orbison song is "Blue Bayou" a fascinating rendition of a number I am certain no other singer could handle.I read in an Elvis Presley
biography, that Elvis himself was an ardent fan of Roy, he was quoted as saying Roy has the finest voice that he has ever heard and that he would give anything to be able to sing like Roy.Coming from the King, thats praise indeed | |

| What is your favorite Roy Orbison song? | | My all time favorite is Crying. The first time I heard it I heard Don McClane's version.I loved it. Years later I heard Roy's original.I liked it too. But my all time favorite version is Roy's and KD Lang.It is the most powerful duet I have ever heard. | |
| | Roy Orbison fans | | Is there any big O fans here. I absolutly love this mans voice I have most albums. Elvis called him "the greatest singer in the world", whilst Bob Dylan said "There was nothing else on the radio like him. I'd listen and wait for another song..."My favs are Only the Lonley, Heartache, Cry Softly Lonley One, Amy, Penny Arcade. Anyone else a big fan? Anybody seen his film "The fastest guitar alive?" | |

| | Crying: Who sings it better K.D. Lang or Carrie Underwood? | | I absolutely love the song Crying. Roy Orbison, of course, sung it best; however, it's been covered quite a few times. I am curious to know, in between K.D. Lang's rendition and Carrie Underwood's rendition, who do you think sings it better?I think easily K.D. Lang. There is just no contest. K.D. Lang is one of the best singers and her voice is so much better than Carrie Underwood's. Even Carrie's best performance doesn't touch K.D.'s worst performance.Who sings Crying better? K.D. Lang or Carrie Underwood? | |

| Film, song or both:) | | Which is your favourite - the film or the song version of Pretty Woman?I have to say they have equal importance for me - the song has always made me feel good, the beat and tempo work really well as mood lifters for me and the feeling that Roy Orbison put into that song always makes me smile, whereas the film is one of my all time favourites. There was such chemistry between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, you could just see how much they enjoyed making that movie together and they almost made a really sugary story line believable I thought. Who doesn't want to see a happy ending occasionally however improbable it may be. I thought the way that the film shared itself between funny and poignant moments and the chemistry between the actors was what made it work and for me it continued the uplifting feeling that the song always gives me.I could watch this movie once a week and not get tired of seeing it:) | |
