Public Announcement: Internet is disappearing from tomorrow...!!??
Question may sound weird(not may, it is seriously weird). But just I want to know what you people are thinking about this. No email, no social networking, no online banking, no more mylot. Many people would go crazy(including me). Earth will stop rotating or change its axis. But we never have to worry, because that tomorrow will ever never come.(I pray to God, you too, please). Now you imagine a day, if it is happened, how the world will be and you will be?
If you were famous, how would you treat your fans?
If you were famous in anyway, whether that be a writer, a musician, a model, a banjo playing??? How would you treat your fans? Do you think the fame would go to your head? Would you let it go to your head? If you realized it was going to your head would you give up your fame and fortune? Would you make a Public Announcement saying you apologize for your big headedness? Would you sign autographs would you tell them it wasn't worth your time?I think that if I were famous I would want to be a writer for one thing, and another I would treat my fans with the utmost respect. After all fans get you where you are in your career. I would hope that the fame wouldn't go to my head, but if it did, I would try to retract and apologize for my big headedness. I would sign autographs and would not tell my fans it wasn't worth my time, like I said above, fans get you where your going.
commercials, do you like any of them?
I actually do like certain commercials, but there is a public announcement commercial I really like, it is about drinking and driving, it has a really catchy slogan, over the limit under arrestI just think that is great,do you like any commercials if so why?do any of catchy slogans that you like
Religious accomodations in the workplace
Here I go again....I really cannot sit here and read all this BS about accomodating religious beliefs in the workplace without reacting.I was looking at a public announcement type about religion in the workplace and found these stupidities...giving more rights to immigrants than the native people:source:http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:I_Bnb7cEUl4J:www.seattle.gov/civilrights/documents/religious-final-9-19-07.pdf+religious+accomodations&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=caDuring my job interview, the employer asked me if I am a Christian. I told her I am Hindu. Can she refuse to hire me because of my religion? No. It is against the law for employers to discriminate on the basis of religion against employees or applicants when hiring or firing. In Seattle, the law applies to companies and organizations with one or more employees. This law does not apply to religious institutions.I’m not Buddhist, but I’m applying for a groundskeeper job at a local Buddhist temple. Can they deny me a job simply because I’m not Buddhist? Yes. Federal laws regarding religious discrimination do not apply to religious institutions. Many religious institutions, however, have...
I've got 6 days left...
I made a public announcement that my goal for this month was 850 posts...and I'm already to 800![em]w00t[/em] I'm finding it harder and harder to come up with topics people want to respond to (so that leaves out religion and abortion!)--even my Sex topics haven't been getting more than 5 or 6 responses. If nothing screws me up, my next goal is 1000 posts by the end of June (assuming I don't move before then).[em]thumbup[/em] So what is your goal for June 30th?
Bad News in my town
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/20/colorado-authorities-body-missing-year-old-girl/ GREELEY, Colo. -- Police confirmed Thursday that a body recovered from an irrigation ditch in northern Colorado is that of a 12-year-old girl missing since March and she was the victim of homicide.Police Chief Jerry Garner said the body recovered Wednesday is that of Kayleah Wilson, of Greeley, who was last seen walking to a friend's house for a birthday party.Garner said Thursday the coroner's office ruled Wilson's death a homicide. He said police know the "manner and cause" of death but he declined to provided details. No one has been arrested, Garner said. The body had been in the irrigation ditch "for some time" in an area that had been searched twice, Garner said. Greeley is about 60 miles northeast of Denver.Police retrieved the decomposed body from the ditch Wednesday, about a half-mile from the home of the missing sixth-grader. A worker checking the ditch after heavy rain found the body in about 3 feet of water, said Sgt. Joe Tymkovich.Wilson's disappearance on March 28 spawned repeated searches by police, Greeley residents and the FBI. Authorities said they...
Dont go away mad - Just go away!
OK this applies to both here and off line life. If you ask for someone's opinion, be prepared to receive it no matter what it may be. If you dont like it then just walk away. Dont try to argue the persons opinion because its their opinion based on their thoughts and beleifs. Dont throw a temper tantrum when you realise that you were wrong for doing what you did to cause you to ask for the opinion in the first place. Dont pack up and leave the site or community because a fellow user or neighbor made you mad.But if you arent cabable of dealing with things in an adult way. Please dont say you are going to leave. Dont make a public announcement. Just go. If you are that mad then just go. It makes me think of people who say they are going to commit suicide. They only make the announcement because they want attention (and help). If you are mad and want to leave then just do it.I know if I ever get mad enough to walk away from something I will just walk away. No announcements and no warning. Just gone! What about all of you? If you get mad enough to want to leave do you make an announcement or do you just go?
Why do some people close their eyes fold their hands and
Pray over their food at a restaurant? I know there's nothing intrinsically wrong here, but I find this Public Demonstration, quite amusing. Its rather like a Public Announcement of Holiness ( to their captive audience) and there is no doubt of its Entertainment Value. Now don't get me wrong! Even though I'm no Christian and I don't agree with Public Demonstrations of Holiness, I do believe in being Eternally Thankful to God for all Her Blessings! An Eternally Thankful person is a Spiritualist, who communes with God on a continuous basis. (not just before a meal) This person learns to become One with God, Is in continuous touch 24/7, and Has no need to close the eyes, or bow the head, before partaking of God's Great Goodness!
CSI:Wow that was awful!
SPOILER...if you don't want to know please don't read!!!!! Ok it does eem fitting that since VIC(the Falson QB)just got sentenced for his dog fighting crime, that they air this show. It was graphic and awful to see,but it is happening, maybe even in our own backyards. I was on the verge of tears seeing those poor dogs! And to think that woman was behind that fake humanitarian vasod! And I missed last week's show, but I was shocked to see Warrick getting questioned, what is up with him lately? I thought him and Cathrine were going to hook up this season, but I guess not? And why is that guy after Warrick??? I am glad they did public announcement about dog fighting at the end. What did you think?
The cult of sponsored celebrity weddings - cynical or smart?
Today sees the, no doubt, huge and lavish Liz Hurley wedding to Arun Nadir in England. We're told it's been sponsored by a magazine to the tune of £2 million and therefore she'll be hidden from prying eyes and the outside world via tents, walkways and large banks of bodyguards. Her guests will almost certainly be banned from taking casual snaps of the event and, who knows, they may even be 'advised' not to speak about the event to the press. We'll be able to see airbrushed and specially selected photographs of Liz in her gown, her celebrity chums and the general brou-ha-ha of the wedding by buying the magazine on it's publication a week or two afterwards. Now my point is this, a wedding - anybody's wedding - is a public declaration of love - a public announcement by two people that they wish to spend the rest of their lives together in wedded bliss (the word public being key in this). It always used to be the way that if there was a wedding people would crowd around on the pavement for a glimpse of the bride, the neighbours might come out for a look, guests would have their cameras ready to take snaps of the happy day - it was a joyous occasion, a celebration for everyone to...
