| Imitation of Life | | OMG! I remember this movie as a kid and it was a tear jerker then, but I thought that because I had seen it many times before that I would be in the clear. No way! I was crying, my son, and my hubby. I got the movie from Netflix. It was a double header. There was the 1959 version with Lana Turner, Sandra Dee, Natlie Wood, Robert Alda and Mahalia Jackson. I watched the 1934 version and I can see where Hollywood glammed it up. The 1959 version was 100% better.DCMerkle | |
