Lynyrd Skynyrd in March
I havent seen a Band live before...but theres always a first. I have seen bands in pubs and clubs, but I mean an established band like Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tickets are £43.75, so a bit pricey, but its Skynyrd after all. Im not their biggest fan, but then again, I dont ind one or two, and seeing them live will definately bee an experience. Cardif, South Wales, UK...in the Cardiff International Arena...sounds good...What do you think?
Lynyrd Skynyrd Loses Another Original Member
Billy Powell, 56, original keyboardist for the Southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd died Tuesday night of a possible heart attack. The original band came together in 1973. Several members of the band died in a plane crash in 1977 including the lead singer Ronnie Van Zant. Ronnie's brother Johnny reformed the band in 1987 with the surviving members of the original group.Free Bird &Sweet Home Alabama were their two most notable songs. In my opinion, Lynyrd Skynyrd & Marshall Tucker were the two GREATEST Southern Rock bands of ALL time!!! Please tell me your memories of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Lynyrd Skynyrd pianist Billy Powell dead at 56!
Were you a Skynyrd fan back in the day? I guess at my age I shouldn't be surprised but it seems every day someone from one of my favorite old time bands passes away! I don't know if I liked Free Bird or Sweet Home Alabama the best!!!What about you...what was your favorite Skynrd song????http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090128/en_afp/entertainmentusmusicskynyrdpowell;_ylt=AiiKYXz6fkUS2ADUB.ByqwNxFb8C

More PaintJamming by Dan Dunn~ Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd
If you enjoyed my last post then this one is a must see! It's more paintjamming to the song titled 'Freebird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd.... it's inspiring, patriotic, artistic, musical and pure talent! Watch it Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ye2svGQy8w&NR=1Watch my discussions for more Dan Dunn because this guy is AMAZING!
Lynyrd Skynyrd Racist?
I want to find out what the general public thinks about racism, particularly with the band Lynyrd Skynyrd
Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Street Survivors"
I have one of the original Street Survivor albums released shortly before the fatal plane crash which shows the band in front of flames. After the crash, the flames were taken out on these albums and replaced with a black background. I'm wondering if these albums with the "flames" covers are collectors' items.
Lifelong fan
I have loved Skynyrd almost as long as I can remember. In the early 80's, I got turned on to them by a friend and have loved the band since. I own every song they've ever recorded and I listen to them every day. Never get tired of the songs because unlike a lot of bands or singers every song tells a story. I guess my favorite songs are All I Can Do Is Write About It, Mr. Banker, Ain't No Good Life, The Last Rebel and That Smell. But I love them all. When I first heard them, it was after the plane crash, so I never got to see the original band in concert. I have seen them since Johnny got on board(I'm a fan of his solo stuff too like Last of the Wild Ones) and was not disappointed. Pure rock, pure southern, no other band has equaled Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Sweet home Alabama
The song i woke up to on my radio alarm this morning...9.05am to be exact.Strange kinda time HUH? Thats the way i am.[em]rasp[/em] & the way its staying. So lets see..um if you use a radio alarm what song played this morning & do you like the song? This song is dedicated to those who live in Alabama. Have a great day be good & be happy.Love poppy Haha[em]lol[/em]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RHsDa9_HSlA&NR=1
Anybody Else Like Lynard Skynard?
I don't, but I love a band calledLYNYRD SKYNYRD. This drives me nuts. There was just an ebay add at the top of the page for an "original Lynard Skynard concert t-shirt". I'm a spelling freak anyway, but I see their name mispelled all the time. You'd think the band that gave us "Freebird" and "Swett Home Alabama" and other classic rock songs would get a little more respect.Okay-I just had to rant and get this off my chest-and at least it's not another "favorites" discussion![em]lol[/em]
