Discussions| listening to music, which songs bring back memories??the good and the bad? | | music is a very powerful thing!! it has a lot of influence over peoples lives, with that comes memories. there are certain songs to this day that make me so happy and then there or some songs that has actually made me cry!! every time i hear "one sweet day" by mariah carey it saddens my heart. a friend of mine in junior high school died. he got shot along with his mother and his brother in a sneaker store ..just tragic. "one sweet day" was his favorite song and his surviving sister said before he left the house he was blasting that song and singing the words on the radio. it broke my heart,so anytime the song comes on i change stations. but on a happier note anytime i hear "cant let you go" by fabolous and lil mo, it reminds me of my more youthful days when i was in love (or at least thought i was lol!!) with my now ex boyfriend. we had so much fun together no worries in life no responsibilities! those were the days. and even though we are not together now and i have moved on, every time i hear that song it puts a smile and a lil laughter on my face....ahhhh the memories!! | |
