| | Why do some people dislike country music? | | I like country music. Not all of it, but some of it. I mean, some of it is just beautiful. Take songs like Jeff Carson's "Not on Your Love", Lonestar's "Amazed" and John Michael Montgomery's "I Swear"- those songs give a person goosebumps! What about you? Do you like country? | |
| | Some days being a mom is hard, but with the difficult comes the good | | From my post this morning you all know I have had a VERY long day, but oh it was so worth it.
This is the recap of my afternoon and well a short explanation of why we were going to the dentist.
My boys are the sweetest thing, well at least they can be. Today we were driving to the dentist for our six month check up and yes to check on JM's teeth as yesterday he had an accident on his bike and "Jarred" his front teeth. The dentist thinks they are going to be fine, he has two chipped teeth but nothing appears to be loose and so far no abscess.
anyway back to my joy..
On the drive to the dentist office out of no where, Douglas says to me "Mommy, when I get big I am going to work on the computer so you and daddy do not have to, and I am going to give you a house. "John Michael followed with
"Mommy, I am going to work also and give you a trip so you can go to the beach and lay down"My boys love me so much....
(Kalie Rose was at home with my cousin, she went last week, good news no Cavities)
| | Money has ruined Music..and now it's just NOISE! | | What happened to the good old days when musicians were really musicians? The days when people sang because they absolutely loved to sing and would sing whether the make money or not, and they could ACTUALLY SING?? The likes of Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Elvis Presley, Freddy Mercury, Bob Marley... These people were born to sing and they blessed us with such wonderful music.. today its a different story. We just have a bunch of teeneagers who think they can sing and yet all they actually to is scream into their microphones, get a computer generated software to modify their voices and make such noise that our ears drums are bursting out. Worse off the majority of so called musicians are all just one hit wonders.. They sing a song today tomorrow they are forgotten.. But real musicians are still living legends.. the likes of Elton John, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bon Jovi, U2.. Its all about money today.. all the money has ruined music.. So I say bring back the real musicians who make our lives brighter and get rid of these ruggamuffins who are polluting the music industry.. | |
| | Australian and 29 Filipinos Crucified On Good Friday | |
A 33 year old Melbourne resident, John Michael, is among the 30 people who were nailed to the cross across Pampanga province, in the Philippines during Good Friday commemorations early today. If I remember it correctly, he is not the first foreigner who was crucified in Holy Week rituals in the Philippines. I think there was an American crucified a couple of years ago.At any rate, as ghastly as it may seem, ritual crucifixion and flagellation have always been a decades-old tradition in the Philippines. It seems we're not just content on having the title "the only Catholic nation in Asia", we (or at least a good number of Pinoys) also have this penchant to take our faith literally and to the extreme. While I wouldn't judge the Australian and the 29 other Filipinos who went through crucifixion today, because I believe faith is a personal matter and however which way they choose to profess their faith is entirely up to the individual, I can't quite shake this uneasy feeling that crucifixions and flagellation in the Philippines during Holy Week is becoming a bad joke. As a Catholic, I find the whole thing almost like a mockery of my religion. As a Filipino and a Catholic, I'm...

Uncertain
Memories of the past keeps taunting you
But dont you worry co'z i'm here for you
I'll do my part to wash away your tears
So trust me my darling and have no fears.
If you would be able to give me a chance
To ease all the pains you felt is my assurance
A heartfelt intention is what i always mention
But still your in doubt so my heart flouts into portion.
If you only believe that my love won't deceive
I'll show you the reasons why my love should lead
Many people dissuade me but i never heed co'z
Deep inside i think upbeat not to make your heart bleed.
After knowing my astonishing factual emotions
You told me to stop this feeling co'z it must not go on
But i never turned uncertain co'z my love will still remain
Certainly i say you're my true love and hope it'll never turn invain.
