Today, I had to return some stuff, and they have this new system where the door greeter scans the return and puts a sticker on the item describing what the return is. I suppose its good inventory control, but I had to wait in line for my sticker, then in an even longer line to do the return. No bueno.So, to let off some steam, I was shopping for a new cd for my Kate and in the middle of the Jack Johnson stack, I found an alicia keys cd, with a $3 sticker on it. Surely it was missed priced, somehow, but I was not about to pass it up. Songs in A Minor is a great cd, my old one was scratched, so I'm thrilled.I feel like I got a little piece of revenge for making me shop there. | |

But despite that, that I guess it is a song for everyone, regardless of where you're located at. I was checking out Facebook when I saw my sister post this song by Alicia Keys. It is entitled " Empire State of Mind". My favorite line in the song is "If I could make it here, I could make it anywhere. Even if it ain't all it seems, I got a pocketful of dreams".Beautiful song. It has moved me to tears.Though I am not from New York, I would like to tell you that it is in my top 3 list of places to visit in the near future. | beyonce and alicia keys got some good jams | | here in the philippines both these singers have really become stars here knowing both are from the states. a couple of months back beyonce had a concert here in the philippines, it sold out tickets and left many angry outside because they were not allowed to get in because the place was already packed. but many fans were outside and the news of tfc was all over the place. i like most of the songs from beyonce such as naughty girl, crazy in love and the one song you must not know about me to the left to the left - i forgot that title of the song. but then alicia keys her song no one has been played here too many times on the radio, stores and fiestas and seeing other people try to sing like her on the videoke especially songs from beyonce. do you like songs from either? | |
