You can start your freewriting venture by at least spending fifteen minutes writing about anything that goes inside your head each day. One of the best things about freewriting is that you just write down everything that comes to your mind without really thinking a lot about its structure as well as the if what you are writing really makes perfect sense.

Freewriting works wonders owing to the fact that your brain can keep running. Just think of freewriting as a form of warm-up exercise for your writing.

Tip #2: Do some moving around.

Keep a realistic thought and accept the fact that writing is a sedentary job. Oftentimes, writers experience bits of discomfort here and there and feel a little cramped up that will all lead to their brains losing their focus.

You can actually do a lot of things to move and ensure to loosen yourself up. Incorporate some walking or jogging, stretching, dancing, breathing exercises, Tai Chi, and Yoga once in a while. If you get your mind to relax, then your mind becomes more healthy and open.

Tip #3: Quit doing writing first.

Stopping some writing does not mean permanently, of course.

Most of the time, writer’s block happens because writers are overwhelmed with too much writing and have nothing else to think about.

If you are suffering from writer’s block severely, then it is best that you think of more creative ways by ensuring to take some time off of writing.

Turn off your laptop for the meantime and do some drawing, collaging, or painting of your own. Writing is truly an art but maybe you can get less burned out from it if you are able to express yourself with other forms of art.
